Coventry Health Care is a well-managed company which will continue to post respectable revenue and earnings growth at least over the next three years, because of its pricing discipline,cost controls,new products and services and expansions into new geographies and market segments. Coventry is a diversified national MCo, which presently has two operating segments:Health plans and First Health. Coventry's health plans segment served 14 markets as of September,30,2006, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic,Midwest and South East.The segment provides individuals and employer groups,HMOs,PPOs and POS plans. As of September,2006, the Health segment plans had 2,518,000 members, of which 1,451,000 were commercial risk members and 615,000 were ASO members.

                                In January, 2005, Coventry acquired First Health Group, gaining a nationwide provider network and high-margin, fee-based service businesses such as network rental, clinical programs such as pharmacy benefit management and group health insurance products.
